Which Weight Loss Surgery is Right for You?

360 SURGERY offers a range of advanced weight loss procedures to match your needs:

Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Gastric sleeve surgery, also known as sleeve gastrectomy, involves removing a significant portion of the stomach to create a narrow, tube-like "sleeve." This reduction in stomach size limits the amount of food you can consume at one time, helping to promote weight loss. Additionally, the procedure can influence hunger-regulating hormones, often leading to a reduced appetite. This option is generally considered for patients seeking a robust, irreversible method for significant weight loss and improvement of obesity-related conditions.

Gastric Bypass Surgery

Gastric bypass restructures the digestive system by creating a small stomach pouch that is directly connected to a lower section of the small intestine. This dual-action approach restricts food intake and reduces calorie absorption, often resulting in rapid and dramatic weight loss. Beyond its effectiveness, this procedure can improve metabolic conditions like type 2 diabetes. Due to its complexity and the lifelong need for nutritional monitoring, it is typically recommended for those with higher body mass indexes or severe obesity-related health issues.

Gastric Band Surgery

Gastric band surgery involves placing an adjustable band around the upper part of the stomach to create a small pouch that limits food intake. This minimally invasive procedure is adjustable and reversible, allowing the band to be tightened or loosened based on individual progress. While it offers a less permanent solution compared to other surgeries, regular follow-up is essential to maintain the optimal tightness of the band and ensure steady, long-term weight loss.

Revision Surgery

Revision surgery is designed for patients who have previously undergone weight loss procedures but are experiencing insufficient weight loss or complications. This corrective approach may involve modifying the original surgery or converting to a different technique to enhance results and address issues like inadequate restriction or malabsorption. Because revision surgery works with altered anatomy, it requires a thorough evaluation and a tailored strategy by experienced surgeons to ensure safety and improved outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I Eligible for Weight Loss Surgery?

Weight loss procedures may be suitable for individuals who are overweight or obese, particularly those with health conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes that could improve with weight loss. However, a safe and sustainable approach is essential. Consulting a healthcare professional can help determine the best path forward based on your health and personal goals.

How Much Does the Surgery Cost?

The cost of weight loss surgery varies depending on the specific procedure and individual requirements. To provide an accurate estimate tailored to your situation, we recommend scheduling a free consultation. This allows us to understand your needs and explore the most suitable weight loss options for you.

Will This Weight Loss Solution Work for Me?

The success of any weight loss approach depends on multiple factors, including your commitment, adherence to medical advice, existing health conditions, metabolism, and lifestyle habits. Working closely with our medical team, following a personalized plan, and making sustainable long-term lifestyle adjustments can significantly improve your chances of achieving and maintaining your weight loss goals.

How Will My Eating Habits Change After Surgery?

Following weight loss surgery, dietary habits will shift considerably. Since the stomach’s capacity is reduced, portion sizes must be smaller, and meals should be consumed more frequently. The diet typically progresses from clear liquids to full liquids, then pureed foods, and eventually solid foods.

A focus on protein-rich foods such as lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, and plant-based proteins is essential for recovery and muscle maintenance. Processed foods high in sugar and unhealthy fats should be minimized, while nutrient-dense options like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats should be prioritized.

Some foods, including carbonated drinks and those that are difficult to digest, may need to be limited or avoided. Hydration is also crucial, with recommended guidelines for separating fluid intake from meals. Adhering to personalized dietary recommendations will support optimal weight loss and long-term health improvements.
